Welcome to Safety Week 2019! The Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) has come together to sponsor an industry wide safety week where all contractors, no matter their location, size, or role within our industry are encouraged to unite under the common goal of eliminating all workplace injuries and illness.

Note that the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) is comprised of major contractors who come together twice a year for a two day meeting to discuss only one thing – SAFETY. The goal of CISI is to influence not only those within their group, but others to work safely and elevate safety awareness to a new level in the United States.

Our Safety Week goal is to Work Injury and Incident Free! This means ZERO injuries, ZERO auto incidents, ZERO equipment incidents, ZERO backing incidents, ZERO utility strikes, ZERO damage to property… ZERO!!

Our collective mission for Safety Week 2019 is to partner together in:

• Actively demonstrating our appreciation of our employees for supporting safety and recognizing their commitment and efforts to be injury free.
• Increasing awareness of the importance of being committed to safety, at home and at work.
• Inspiring all of us to share best practices and to work together to strengthen our industry’s safety culture.
• Have meaningful safety discussions and plan activities to raise safety awareness to further a “Zero Incident” culture.
